Chocolate Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 (19.8 oz) brownie mix -- prepared according to directions and cooled
  • 1 (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 (8 oz) container sour cream
  • 2 (12 oz) containers whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (8 oz) bag Heath Bar bits (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix UNPREPARED pudding mix into sour cream. Stir well (mixture will be thick).
  2. Fold 1 container of whipped topping into chocolate mixture. Stir until well combined.
  3. Cut prepared brownies into small, bite-sized squares.
  4. In a trifle bowl, take 1/2 of the brownies and line the bottom. Now pour 1/2 of chocolate mixture over brownies. Next pour the 2nd container of whipped topping -- use the entire thing. Use the remaining brownies for next level. Top with the remaining chocolate mixture.
  5. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Prior to serving, sprinkle candy bits over top.
